So mula2 kita (termasuk aku la heheh aku pun baru nak cuba fahamkan ni.. minta maaf kalau salah)cuba fahami apa itu Network Centric Warfare
Ok what we wrote are only a summary from NETWORK CENTRIC WARFARE: Developing and Leveraging Information Superiority 2nd Edition (Revised) by David S. Alberts, John J. Garstka and Frederick P. Stein.
Muhamad Faizal Rosli bertanya
Platform-Centric Shooters
kita select berberapa perbincangan menarik

That looks extremely short range. Relying on sensors? At a time where Intel is based on satellite observations and drone based reconnaissance? No air force engagement? If you engage forces like this yr dead. I hope this is with reference to close quarter combat where if so yr sensors mean jack. This is the backward kinda tactics we're fed but its nowhere near what they use abroad.
Michael Fuller
There's strategic info and then there is tactical info. Satellites and drones to some extent provide the first category. What's been described here is a battlefield situation which needs to be managed at the platoon level (a.k.a the guys doing the actual shooting).
Calling in the fly boys for everything happens only in the movies
Ju Lee
not true michael. calling in the fly boys happens very regularly in afghanistan and iraq. whenever there is a mission to go in, air force always either goes in first or is on standby to go in at any point for evac or attack.
Michael Fuller
Not for close quarter engagements. And moreover, Uncle SAM has the means to fight such a war. Not everyone can follow such a doctrine.
Ju Lee
in fact, even back during the malayan occupation it was quite similar. air force provides recon, attack, back up, evac, depending on the mission, terrain, and dynamic circumstances. these days there will be choppers to film the incursions for future reference. nobody fights any wars without air force, land+air is a must.
Ju Lee
michael ... the technology is there. apart from uncle sam tonnes of countries use it. the british have been doing it from back in the day. same with ww2 all attacks were done via both land and air, and when possible land, air and sea. close quarter combat is good for urban type situations where you have to go in and there's a civillian population you have to look out for. even so there will be some AF back up.
Michael Fuller
Aiyah, what has been described only explains how a certain tactical situation is handled. Might have to go up a folders to see how the larger battlefield is managed
Ju Lee
silent missions which involve SF maybe you don't have the planes go in first. but this layout looks like it's for infantry. how you can deploy infantry without AF i really do question
William Joel Kiker
Who is the sucker who gets sent up in the suit?
Michael Fuller
S.E.A version of your average G.I Joe?
Ju Lee
further - sensors mean shite. you can just blast an EMP bomb and there goes all your electronics. which is why ppl rely on the eye in the sky for info. not sensors.
Michael Fuller
Must refer to Jane's weekly to get the bigger picture I guess. Or ask the poster for more details. Make sure you disown me when they "invite" you for discussions
Ju lee have a valid point.. satellite and drones is a must ... that being said i applogise for not being detail in my explainantion... battle awareness do came from the shared information nodes, which came from various resource including air and sat reconnaissance... i forgot to mention that in this diagram the c1 were the only sensor which ident the target and he himself makes the call on how to neutralise the target. In this case the c2 (which is the tank) can be other type of warfighter such as jet, attack heli, artilery or even strategic weapon.
During this particular engagement other units who receive the information shared in the NCO will immediately engage 'information operation' or IO to distrupt, corrupt, destroy and delay the red force battle awareness.. all this happening concurrent with c1 having to make a battlefield decision. C1 can wait the IO to complete their mission untill achieving Full Spectrum Dominance or he can execute the attack immediately by using C2 .. remember C2 can be bombers, attack helli or artilery.. which ever free to assist at that exact moments.
also not shown in this diagram are the hierarchy of command or chain of command.. the Command and Control Inputs are the C&C inputs from the central control which is either the divisional, or the brigade, or the company level all the way to the smallest section... Inputs are from the higher chain of command or within the same units and c&c output are relegates to a lower chain of command or equivalent. But in this particular diagram c1 can vector any units regardless of level.. which makes the NCO extremely quick and efficient in executing combat.
bersambung.......... to be continue!
