Su30MKM engine debate: two engines vs. four
The RMAF continues to make the argument, in trying to find solution for its 4.5 gen, four-engine MKM, that four-engine jets are safer than those with two engines when it comes to long-haul flights.
In a news release Wednesday, RMAF said it had won its first breakthrough. They decide to put 6 engines.
“Already doing sterling service all these years, the the su30MKM Sixers has exactly what a the airforce wants — a very large and attractive cabin, six-engined freedom for routings over the remotest regions, and the range to fly nonstop to the world,” RMAF Chief Usop Wilcha said in a statement.
