Lumut : With yesterday`s fiasco by Sharikat Limbongan Kapal Cha Cha Marbah a subsidiary of Partai Aksi Demokratis on their proposed SGPV design...another local shipyard also take up the ante and had revealed not a design on blueprint but a finished prototype of their own SGPV design.
Sadin Heavy Industries and Extreme Engineering...a mega shipyard based in Lumut and Penang which had involved in various oil and gas projects and shipbuildings unveiled the ZINDAVA...an ultra large offshore patrol platform with non traditional design compared to the one proposed by Bustad and other consortium.
The ZINDAVA (Ze Interocean Naval Deployment Assets of the Victorious Armada) is a non traditional design patrol platform of 295m in length and 60m wide using the already proven semi submersible hull and fitted with a single Saturn/Kusnetsova KhR-155E massive nuclear fission reactor capable of running the main engine for eternity.
Sadin Heavy Industries and Extreme Engineering in media release statement revealed by Dato K. Rajahgopalan "the ZINDAVA SGPV will cost 25 percent less than the one proposed by Bustad Naval Shipyard but will definitely out class the KrengKongKeng class OPV built by its rivals" with 4 hangars capable of accomodating medium lift helicopters...and up to 24 long range anti ship missile battery with comprehensive surface to air systems....
There are speculations that this massive platform will cost 6 billion each which will become a political outcry to some quarters but the consortium spokeperson said "6 billion each is nothing...this platform is much more advance and sophisticated than any platform in any navy..."
ZINDAVA will continue to be developed eextensively ven if it weren`t chosen as RMN SGPV...as technology demonstrator for the navy weapon and system development team.
When asked about the large dome fitted on the hull...Rajahgopalan told media "its part of the navy Tesla weaponry fixation and weather controlling devices...it can create calm tropical weather for our army boys during amphibious landing or a force eleven gale storm which could sink any ship within 150km radius with godlike power..and oh the Tesla is for shocking the enemy literally" he said.
RMN in a later interview said the ZINDAVA is a part of their technology demonstrator platform but will take into consideration to make it one of the SGPV competitors...
