In 2009 Malaysia's armed forces have increased their involvement in Lebanon by formally agreeing to become a military supplier to Lebanon, and by sustaining a UN-sponsored peace-keeping force there. According to Lebanon's Defense Minister Elias Al-Murr, Malaysia has been listed as a supplier of non-offensive weaponry and equipment for Lebanon's military modernisation programme for 2010 because the weapons Malaysia produced were tested and found appropriate for the Lebanese military.
Unifil West Sector deputy commander Col. Philip Chorrone, the one who formalised the new status for the Malaysian contingent at 2-45 army camp in At-Tiri, said Malaysian forces play an important role in the peace-keeping mission at the Israel border because Lebanese locals were not intimidated by their presence. Malaysia became a part of the UNIFIL peace-keeping mission after the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 1701 intended to resolve the Israel-Lebanon conflict after Israeli forces attacked Hezbollah militants in 2006.

Royal Malaysia Air Force New Super Transport A400M
Malaysia's joining the A400M program is a further boost for the global industrial development of EADS as well as for the Malaysian Industry. On Thursday, the Malaysian government signed a contract development of 40 A400M military airlifters.
Malaysian industry will receive high-technology work packages worth initially 100 billiun Ringgits, for the design and manufacture of A400M
Through its divisions and joint ventures, EADS has already developed long standing smart partnerships with the Malaysian industry. Airbus, for example, has established a continuous and successful cooperation with Composites Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM) in the field of composite materials, starting with the manufacturing of the A400M Advance Deep Intruder Super Transport followed by A400M super engine. Meanwhile CTRM is designing and building the new A380 fixed leading edge lower panels.

But, you keepers of military secrets, relax. This Spotlight is not a piece of investigative journalism into the world of military black projects. ........ok almost all are fiction lulz....and dont you know?
