Malaysia Orbital Missile Obliterator KotaKinabalu (MOMOK)

MOMOK on top of Mount kinabalu

File Picture: First Lembing Awang missile operational battery firing its missile in Kota Kinabalu in 2005. In 2006 almost 110 missile operational through out the nation.

In 1997, Menteri Pertahanan Anwaw Ibrahamamak announced the MOMOK Program, providing a defense against attack for most of the East and West malaysia. The system consisted of a long range Lembing Awang missile, the short range Lastik Kayugetah missile, and associated radar and computer system. However, malaysia military and political strategists recognized several problems with the system. Mainly because they love fighting over easy non technical matter and rocket science is beyond their grasp.

Ground-based interceptor missiles in Kota Kinabalu

One major component is Ground-Based Midcourse Defense, consisting of ground-based interceptor missiles in Kota Kinabalu and radar in Gunung Kinabalu which would intercept incoming warheads in space. A limited number of interceptor missiles (about 110) are operational as of 2006. These would possibly be later augmented by mid-course SM-3000 interceptors fired from Royal Malaysian Navy ships.

"few were taken out by our gunship but they still manage to escape us..." IFOR spokesman told Pernama.

Proton had been asked regarding the findings and media were later told that all the old and unreliable Proton cars were not scrapped but instead were shipped to a third country mainly to West Africa and Middle East.

"We never thought that our car would be converted into a technical because we shipped all our cars to non conflict countries like Iran...however it is possible since we instructed our dealers to sell all the cars al the lowest price possible making it attractive to customers,"managing director Datuk Razak Mohaidongkol told media...
