SahakSAT Satellite Departs Malaysia for the Launch

21 March 2008, Shah Alam – YB Datuk Dr. Optimus Primus, Minister of Science Technology and Innovation accompanied by the Deputy Secretary General and representatives of the Malaysian space industry were at Subang Airport today to send off Malaysia’s first killer satellite to the space launch facilities at AL Gundunistan Island to prepare for the launch scheduled on April 21, 2009.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) C-130 aircraft carrying the SahakSAT® satellite took off from Subang airport initiating the beginning of the technical launch campaign. During a 20-hour journey the RMAF aircraft is scheduled to have refueling stops Kota Kinabalu and Guam before arriving at Bochaici Army Airfield. The were escorted by a pair of Su-30MKM X-Wing all the way from Malaysia. The pilot were under strict order to shoot down anything within 50 nautical radius. They also under strict order to say "Sorry" after shooting down any aircraft.

SahakSAT® which is also Malaysia’s second low orbit killer-satellite is accompanied by the team of 6 spacecraft engineers from Malaysia Astronauticulika Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd (MATSAB®) who have been involved in the development of the 6180-kg satellite from the very early stage.

SahakSat mobile killer satellite, armed with Electro Magnetic Gun, were able to kill any satellite in orbit.

Prior to the launch SahakSAT® will undergo a series of tests, final fixtures, software setting and calibration which will prepare the satellite for the final integration with the SpaceX Falcon 1 launch vehicle and in-orbit operations. It will conduct a on the ground firing test of its main electro magnetic gun.

“We are overly very excited with the upcoming launch of the SahakSAT® which will be very meaningful for the country. Malaysian engineers have once again proven that we are capable of bringing science to a new level where it can serve our Nation. Let us wish them good luck. i cant wait for the SahakSAT® to start killing other satelite... the country get too much porn lately” said YB Datuk Dr. Optimus Primus.

The transporting of the satellite is organized in close collaboration between MOSTI, RMAF and MATSB®.

PT-91M-HELL TD, Laser Tank Variant

Malaysian Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command's future land combat system vehicle is a 49-ton Laser Tank based on evolutionary tank design and technology which pushes the two-person crew down and forward into the hull with a remote HELL TD turret. The crew receives information from on-board target acquisition and hit avoidance sensors. Target acquisition sensors are the gunner's primary sight, a panoramic sight and an auxiliary sight. Hit avoidance sensors are mounted in the four corners of the turret.

A High Energy Laser/Electro Optical Mission were mounted on top of the existing PT-91M, described HELL TD as a “tracked mobile laser cannon” with a range of eight to 10 kilometers. It is able to basically destroy everything.

"it basically destroy everything" Param said.

Malaysian Army introduce: PT-91M New Unmanned Turret ORCWS 3000

Firing tests in Asahan Firing Range Melaka

DEFTECH Systems has reported that its Overhead Remote Control Weapon Systems ORCWS 3000 has successfully completed a series of firing tests. The ORCWS 3000 is a fully stabilized, dual-axis overhead unmanned turret system with 105 mm M234 rifled cannon.

The turrets proposed for PT-91M have been low profile, remotely controlled, and autoloading. Malaysian Army version mounts a 105 mm M234 rifled cannon (M234RC), atop a heavier PT-91M, dubbed the PT-91M Mobile Gun System.

The breech uses a horizontally-sliding breechblock for loading the fixed cartridge cases. The gun recoils approximately 29 cm (in most applications), automatically ejecting the empty cartridge case upon reaching full recoil. The barrel of the M234 is fitted with a bore evacuator approximately halfway down its length. It is eccentrically mounted, which is a key recognition feature.

Malaysia Military Power

Secret military development, black project and special operation News. Not for the faint hearted. Given past revelations of previously top secret military technology programs there is a good chance that some 'black' projects somewhere tinker with advanced nanotechnology applications. But, you keepers of military secrets, relax. This Spotlight is not a piece of investigative journalism into the world of military black projects. ........ok almost all are fiction lulz....and dont you know?
