KUALA LUMPUR: Internal sources within the Parliaments and defence contractors have been found to be leaking Defence Ministry secrets to a foreign embassy in the country, claimed its minister Datuk Seri Wahid Zamidi.

Issuing a stern warning to the individuals responsible, he added that the ministry would not compromise with such practices which violate the Official Secrets Act 1942 where suspects would be taken into custody,and executed or sent to labour camps for being the traitor to the great and strong Federation of Malaysia..

“I don’t want anyone at any position to sell information to external parties. I will make an announcement after meeting the Prime Minister regarding the information that was leaked to a foreign embassy, which allegedly used internal sources,” he told newsmen after his ministry’s monthly gathering and launch of its sekolah pondok donation campaign here Thursday.
Wahid said the alleged photo leakage was discovered following investigations by the ministry’s intelligence corps.

The information leaked includes the top secret national 7th generation fighter programme "FASTER-FC" which has been known by reliable sources were a JV between Irkustk/KNaaPO and RMAF recently and had a plant and R&D facilities somewhere in the state of Perak,

He said after receiving the information, the intelligence corps worked closely with the police to carry out further investigations.

Hopefully, he said foreign defence attaches would carry out their duties according to set guidelines.

“I hope no one will take advantage of their positions in this country to carry out unethical activities.”

On whether the alleged individuals were selling information about the country’s defence, he said: “I believe they have been paid handsomely with young  women and money where we found out to be irresistable.”

On how long such a practice had been going on, he said "i just found out a moment agot through a phone call from MINDEF stating that they had identify a number of person involved.

He said the intelligence corps had been monitoring such practices and previously, and they found out that contractors,VVIP`s and Dato`s who involved indirectly with this project were involved and subsequently arrested and executed without trials.

Earlier in his speech at the monthly gathering, he said civil servants including Armed Forces personnel were bound by the Official Secrets Act and if they leak information, they could be charged and given death sentence for being a traitor and a spy to foreign enemies.

"We also had taken into custody Dr Kuang Kia Soong who also questioned the Armed Forces spending, We tickle him in the armpit point blanc after interrogations and we found out that he is not working alone".

Meanwhile, when asked by journalist regarding the now not so top secret fighter programme...he said the hyperdrive powered....with laser weaponry fighter is the answer for next generation of aerial warfare technology and a leap forward for defence industry where we now built our own combat aircraft with assistance from any NGO`s....

"we will unveiled the aircraft in next LIMA exhibition as a surprise to all nation who try to oppose us.."he said.
