Malaysian Armour: PT-91M Pendekar at DSA 2010



Sitting menacingly in the middle of DEFTECH exhibition area in DSA 2010 are the PT-91M. Currently the army have full integrate  the PENDEKAR into the 3rd CAD battle network. It is rumored that a second brigade were underway and the number of MBT will increase. The type of MBT chosen were unknown, however.

The modernized main battle tank was designated PT-91 PENDEKAR. From base modification it differs in increased defense, fire control system and engine.

The modernized tank's increased weight led the developers to add a more powerful engine. It is a 12 cylinder diesel engine, a modernized version of the S-12U . The main improvement is the modernized fuel and air injection system. This caused a noticeable decrease in the tank's road endurance. The latest Twardy variants have the 2000hp S-2000 engine with a turbocharger.

  3. bro...tanks ni stock buat besi buruk je,propa gov je lebey2,nak jimat kos punya pasal boleh bagitau rakyat dgn propa mcm2 spec n advance,tanks kategori ni sama saing2 t80-t90 russia,dalam perang2 balkan ni semua wat stock jd barang mainan target mudah mcm kat funfair jer,search n kaji n tengok kat youtube,pt91m ni cuma upgrade eksesori je,takda apa2 kelebihan pun,even tanks "Merkava"yahudi laknatullah yg paling advance pun kena anti tank buatan tahun 70s(russian made) hancur bersepai,kerajaan malaysia banyak membazir beli barang besi buruk,komisen masuk poket....tengok ape jadi dgn heli Nuri?..besi buruk terbang selagi boleh?...
