RMAF Malaysia Fighter/Attack Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle aircraft (MF/A-UCAV 3.0)
The MF/A-UCAV 3.0 was modified for the production MF/A-X UCAV. The differences between the MF/A-X and the MF/A-3.0 include relocation of the brain, structural changes, and many other smaller changes.
The production MF/A-X UCAV model was unveiled at LIMA 2009. It first flew on 22 January 2008.
The first production MF/A-UCAV 3.0 was delivered to Gong Kedak Air Force Base, Kelantan, on 14 January 2010 and "Dedicated Initial Operational Test and Evaluation" commenced on 27 February 2010.
On 20 January 2010, MF/A-UCAV 3.0 flew with the Block 3.0 software, which was the first combat-capable avionics version. Increment 3.1 was tested at Gong Kedak AB. This provided the MF/A-UCAV 3.0 a basic ground attack capability through Synthetic Aperture Radar mapping, Electronic Attack and the GBU-5000 Small Diameter Bomb.
