The Royal Armored Corp provides armor support to the MA and conducts its operation both offensively and defensively. The corps consist of 4 cavalry regiments, a tank regiment, an armored paratroop squadron and a Mounted Ceremonial Squadron.

Roles

The primary roles of the corps are to conduct offensive or defensive operations with or without infantry support and to provide armor protection to the infantry and other support and services units.

There are 2 types of armored regiments, cavalry regiment and tank regiment. Each armored regiment has an integral armor workshop attached from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps. There is also a mounted squadron for sovereign ceremonial purpose.

Cavalry Regiment

Cavalry regiment is a light armor regiment and intended to provide reconnaissance for division level formation. For this reason, the choice of vehicle is leaning toward mobility over firepower and armor hence favoring wheeled armored vehicles. Each armored regiment contains 3 combat squadrons, 1 HQ squadron and 1 support squadron. There are 3 combat troops, 1 HQ troop and 1 support troop in a squadron. Each troop consists of 4 APCs and 2 AFV.

Tank Regiment

Tank regiment is a heavy armor regiment and intended to provide support to and co-operate with the infantry in a conflict. A regular tank regiment usually has strength of 48 tanks. The smallest unit in a tank regiment is a troop. Each troop consists of 4 tanks and 2 APCs. Each APC can carry 8 soldiers. Three troops make up a squadron and four squadrons forms a tank regiment. With the introduction of MBT and combine arms tactic, the 2 APC in each troop may be dropped in favor of deployment in conjunction with the mechanized infantry units.
